He received his Bachelors of Music in Education from the University of Southern Maine Osher School of Music. He has a multitude of experience in not just instrumental music but also vocal, having performed in numerous choirs, small ensembles, and barbershop quartets over the years throughout America and Europe.

He is a big fan of Farmall tractors and touts one of his greatest talents as being able to make Minute Rice in thirty seconds.
